Angela and Mark have decided to write down their versions of the proposal, you might find that they’re recollections are kind of different

Angela's Version

It was a Saturday afternoon, February 4th, 2006, and Mark picked me up from a book club meeting. The plan was to head back home and pick up Stewart and then go to Parliament Hill to take some pictures to send home for Katherine’s birthday (Mark’s niece).  But as it was getting dark out Mark suggested just the two of us go down by ourselves.

We got to Parliament Hill and starting walking to the gazebo towards the back. We got inside and Mark mentioned that he had been out ring shopping that day and wanted me to look at a picture of a ring he saw. Mark handed me the camera but I could see the ring that well and said I’d have to look at it on the computer when we get home.  As I was getting ready to take a few pictures Mark quietly says “Well how about this one?” When I turned around Mark had in his hand an opened ring box with the most beautiful ring in it. I was in total shock and all I could keep saying was “are you serious?” So after lots of tears and laughing, Mark had to ask me again and I of course said yes and here we are today. It feels like this was only yesterday.
